Title: 070513 -- an interesting days detecting Post by: handyman [Alan} on May 07, 2013, 06:44:44 PM Took the opportunity of the good weather to get out nice and early onto a new site. The finds are very interesting and cover a wide dating range. The best find of the day, in my honest opinion is the exquisite lozenge shaped design brooch. It's been suggested as being 2nd century. But i welcome comments.

The roman wotsit could possibly be the top of a nail cleaner. The crotal bell fragment has an unusual pattern. I have not seen one with those diamond shapes before.
