I had loads of .303 cartridge cases, some bits of lead and when Will put me on the correct road in the way of settings on the AT Pro things started to get better.....1975 two pence and a 1957 two shilling  ;) Late in the day but will know what to do next dig. have got some things that need cleaning but I don't think they are anything special. Many thanks for the advice Will  ;D.
Really enjoyed the day here's to next time ;D

Another great day, bright and sunny and what a stunning location , surrounded on all sides by ancient history that doesn't appear to have changed since  times long past , and Snowden in the distance covered in snow ... Brilliant . Worth the trip just for the view !  Didn.t find a lot ( other than .303 cases  ) but  i did manage to dig up a trade token . Halfpenny dated 1791 looks to be coonected to the iron works  . I will clean it up an post it tomorow.
Jason definately has find of the day , Well done mate !

my probe completely packed in during the first search of the day  :( (time for a garrett)  then i was getting inconsistent signals for a large part of the day, filled a rucksack full of scrap in the meantime, turns out my mobile was making my detector go loopy!

i had what seems to be a 1780 george III halfpenny (hibernia), and also once id finally sussed the detector out i had an old penny. ended the day much happier as i seem to be getting to grips with the Ace 250. learnt a lot from you guys and hope to be on many more digs in the future.

Yes it was a cracking day and Jason was definately 'Man of the Match' today, don't know how he does it. I got a handful of Vickies, Edward 1st, George v, George VI, best coins were  a 1921 Sixpence and a good condition 1944 Farthing. Got a good condition, complete Tombac with a flower design, Also got a small lead Squirrel!! Got what I think is a part if a pocket sundial but need to research to be sure. Hey Rich you'll be sorted now with those AT Pro settings, you'll be hoovering stuff up next dig!

Fantastic saxon and unbroken as well. Well done.. Be careful handling it as Saxon broad flan pennies can sometimes be brittle and may break easily
