Brilliant . Worth the trip just for the view ! Didn.t find a lot ( other than .303 cases ) but i did manage to dig up a trade token . Halfpenny dated 1791 looks to be coonected to the iron works . I will clean it up an post it tomorow.

i had what seems to be a 1780 george III halfpenny (hibernia), and also once id finally sussed the detector out i had an old penny. ended the day much happier as i seem to be getting to grips with the Ace 250. learnt a lot from you guys and hope to be on many more digs in the future. I got a handful of Vickies, Edward 1st, George v, George VI, best coins were a 1921 Sixpence and a good condition 1944 Farthing. Got a good condition, complete Tombac with a flower design, Also got a small lead Squirrel!! Got what I think is a part if a pocket sundial but need to research to be sure.
