i really enjoy our hobby but cant stand it when you have some detectorists who will lie about where they found stuff just to stop you finding anything good. im so glad im not like that and am just glad to go out detecting and if a mate or myself find anything im just as glad for them as i am for myself.

odd creatures is right  ;D, like you stever i also enjoy tectin just for tectin, but there exists in the detecting community a large number of greedy jelous people, which detracts from the enjoyment of the hobby, and it seems to me that the more you get involved in this hobby the more rot you will discover,,there are however the majority of tecies that are decent people,, so it all comes down to what you want to hear or how involved you want to get,, im now not a member of any club,and im a tectin partership of 1  ;D and just tect on me own land,,do i find many finds? yes i do and sometimes choose not to post finds due to the above.       

Theres nothing unique about cheating in Metal detecting. It goes on across the board in hobbies, sports and relationships. All it comes down to is human nature to desire Money, attention and enjoyment. Most people are happy to get what they've earned however there is and always will be that element that want more more more and will cross lines to get it.

I just saw this tab. who is this winker ? never heared of him before.
what's he trying to achieve with his so called website ?
Am I now famous after being quoted in  his blog ?

                      Can't he see that  the question being asked was about
a metal detector program ?  NOT , *how do I rip the countryside apart and
steal all the artefacts*. As responsible metal detectorists this is something
that we just don't do.
                                I suppose he has as much right to be a member of this forum
as anybody else. So if he *LIKES* this forum so much, he should buy himself a
metal detector, as he doesn't seem to have anything better to do.

LMFAO,,,, anyways getting back to steves post lol. caught a local guy out as to lying where he was getting his finds, although great finds and yes i was envious, but I could never have payed the prices he did on EBAY. Dont know why he has to try to impress ppl especially lying to make friends.
Any sites I have are open to those who want to come with me, but nothing special found as yet. I mentioned in a earlier post last week, that a pasture land i have is giving me a real headache which will probably need more experienced guys like yourselves to pull the buggers out  :-\

Welcome to the hobby Steve and dont be to bothered about the lucky beggars or bull-------s....This hobby is about sharing the knowledge and your time will come for that great find...Patience is a virtue and the slower ,the better metal detecting finds in my experience ..I use my Deus in all metal mode most of the time because of its quickness to come of a signal quickly ,,,I meter read all the time because i think all metal is the sharpest mode ...I diverse from the main post and i suggest take no notice of the bores  :) :)
