I only use the preset programs Gmp Deus fast and Gmaxx. I alter the sensitivity to suit and normally use G. B tracking. Gmp is an excellent all round setting, Deus fast for iron contaminated sites and Gmaxx for clean pasture. You will not go far wrong with these settings. I've had the Deus about 18 months and found about 50 hammered with it. Don't be afraid to drop the sensitivity as the machine does get chattery if run too hot.

Depth is a relative thing the more mineralizaion in the ground the less the depth. The Deus excels on speed of response in contaminated ground. If you purely want depth on clean ground try minelab or T2 with larger coils.

As DB says it's relative to the target size and conductivity ???

Well a small hammered coin about the same as 99% of any other machine from Garrett Ace to Etrac as there is a physical mineral barrier that motion machines can't break.
Georgian halfpenny I've dug at 10"  but that could be the deepest one I've walked over.
