Title: Finally no more searching!
Post by: Dusty on April 23, 2012, 10:19:19 AM
It's like a weight lifted, no more looking, head scratching, mooching through technical specs, frequencies, coils......

Anyone want to take a guess or shall I just spill?  ;D

I'd imagine it's in the same league the F75 and T2 at least I bloody hope so..

Quite exciting  :)

Ha!

Nope I got a Blissto.... only joking  ;D

Nobody has named it which is worrying! Should I have said it's a step down from the T2/F75 and no way near the GMP maybe alittle better than the X-terra 705 and would be killed by the sheer Coinshooter excellence ;D

Well nobody got it so here's the reveal.....

I think it looks great!! Judging by field test it's easily up there with the Fishers and Teknetics no bell or whistles just 7.2kHz and plenty of power AND it's UK made.

Got a good feeling with this one, could be an animal on silver! Can't wait to get out with it!

What do yo lot think?  :)

Title: Re: Finally no more searching!
Post by: Dusty on April 24, 2012, 11:19:04 AM
Very understated machine Geoff, sometimes you have to give the under dog a chance. And supporting a UK made machine just makes sense!

Title: Re: Finally no more searching!

Title: Re: Finally no more searching!
Post by: relichunting on April 24, 2012, 01:41:35 PM
I doubt it will be in the same league as a F75 and T2

Same league as a Garrett ace 250

Title: Re: Finally no more searching!
Post by: Chef Geoff on April 24, 2012, 02:04:48 PM
I think it may not be as good as the ace! I'm still thinking that Dusty is joking, but we shall see ???

Title: Re: Finally no more searching!
Post by: Mike on April 24, 2012, 02:20:46 PM
regtons got a great deal on at the moment

headphones , trowel , battery , coil cover and a very nice beginers guide to metal detecting .....................£240 what a bargain , they even throw in a free viking metal detector to get you started  :D :D :D

Title: Re: Finally no more searching!
Post by: Dusty on April 24, 2012, 02:29:05 PM
Come on fella's its miles better than the Ace, it air tests at 8" on a Roman and 9" on small silver. Don't think the Ace better that?

Title: Re: Finally no more searching!
Post by: Mike on April 24, 2012, 02:51:01 PM

Small silver at 9"?  I don't think so....well it depends what you call small I guess. But I know one thing it won't disc out much iron. Watch the youtube demo by the Norfolk wolf.
I still think your joking :D

Title: Re: Finally no more searching!
Post by: relichunting on April 24, 2012, 03:53:55 PM
It may air test a small silver at 9 inches Geoff

My Deus can get a hammered penny at 12 inches in air with the right settings

Did you not buy that Sovereign XS-2a Pro?, going by your other thread you mentioned you was looking a lot more expensive detectors than the Viking you say you have bought.

Although I take it that this is a NEW machine?, not used that you say you purchased, so I guess it would have some kind of warranty.

 ;)

OUCH, that hurt like a kick in the bollo.....

In all honesty I know Minelab's are a bit odd with the noise and all but it's something I'll have to learn and put up with as I won't have any spare cash to buy anything else..

While people are still reading this silly thread what would you guys pay for a clean example, not box but coming with a battery pack (1600 mah), pack for the AA's, charger and manual?
