Title: Possible Norman object

Found this the other day, which I believe to be Norman, but can't think what it was used for.

My thought were probably a finial from the top of a helmet, as the site has produced a number of Norman objects.

An interesting piece Steve but that helmets a Saracen one lol. Maybe more from a Shako type helmet 19thC ???

These objects have also come up in the same fields over the last few years, so I will hedge my bet as Norman.
