Do they think we are all ignorant peasants or something ? The same thing happened to the programs Dr Alice Roberts presented. Completely off topic but look at the complete and utter rubbish put out by Channel 4 on the Tour of britain or Tour de France . Utter twaddle . Time Team has been hugely succesful over the past 20 years why the hell change it now ? They are going to ruin the program by turning it into a bluddy soap or worse . Its one of the few educational programs on History and Archaeology worth watching these days . Reading Jean Marco,s press release it was 2009 that Mick Aston told of his wish not to continue as the shows direction was as Chef pointed out "heading in the wrong direction". So they have had three years to sort it out and appear to have got it totally wrong. Love it or hate it it is the only mainstream tv programe that goes anywhere near our interests as detectorists and as is usual with any decent tv programe, they start meddleing and ruin the show.
