Well, its just a small sample of finds that i have had returned from the FLO today.  ;D ;D

Now i got to add the info into my database before cataloguing them into my finds trays.   >:(

roflmao mike -- i'm busy inputting the data from todays finds onto my spreadsheet and cleaning 7 romans, a beehive thimble and an interesting bag seal at the moment. all found today.

photos tomorrow, or tuesday.

Nice going Alan, but I've got to say by the photo that thimble doesn't look like a beehive, too big.

hi geoff, according the detecting finds book 2, such a thimble is identified as beehive. I have assumed that this description is correct.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Don't get me wrong Alan, it comes from the same period and is "beehive" shaped on top but I think it would be referred to as a "Tonsured" thimble. A true beehive only just fits over the finger tip and probably half the finger nail.
