Title: Another good two hours
Post by: waltonbasinman on December 03, 2011, 12:09:32 PM
Well after a flight mix up and a mercy dash I managed to get two hours in again before it got dark back at new farm no 1 and a good two hours it was too. Half hour chatting to the farmer who is a great character and here are my finds of note for my allotted slot. No hammered this time but still telling me so much about the history of the Parish.

Then after half an hour digging nothing but lead up popped this bit of hallmarked silver. I think it is Chester but can not make out the date letter but I am sure it is W&L Chester .925 sterling

I had a spur fragment pretty similar. It was dated 18th century.
