Hi i am new to this site and would like help to upload an image to identify a few coins...Cheers Mark

There are two ways that you can post a picture on this forum.

Method 1 -Uploading a picture direct from your computer

Method 2 -Linking to a picture on another site.


Method 1 - To upload a picture from your computer follow the steps below

1- Open post as normal and fill in text box with whatever you post is regarding.
2- Click on Additional Options
3- Click on Choose file or Browse
4- Find required picture on your computer files and click on file. (Please note the Maximum size of picture allowed is 290 kb. If your pic is larger than this, please resize using Paint or any other picture editor)

5- Click on 'Open'
6- Click Post if you are finished.

Please note if you wish to add more than one pic click on 'More attachments' and repeat steps 3, 4 and 5


Method 2 - To link a picture from any other website please follow the steps below. Please note we would prefer this method used for fun, games, jokes and other such Non metal detecting posts as it will not show in the recent attachments thumbnail strip.


1 - Right click on the required picture on other website
2 - Click on Properties
3 - Copy and paste or make a note of the picture url. it will look something like this


http://l1.yimg.com/i/i/uk/metro/woner.jpg (http://l1.yimg.com/i/i/uk/metro/woner.jpg)

4 - Start your post on DW like you normally would
5 - Wherever you wish the picture to appear on you post do the following..............
6 - Click on The picture icon above it looks like this
7 - You will see the following appear on your post [lmg][/lmg]
8 - In between the img commands copy and paste or type the image URL from your pic like this[lmg]http://l1.yimg.com/i/i/uk/metro/woner.jpg[/lmg]

9 - If you've finished posting , click post.
