Got in touch with Minelab and asked, they will service my SE for 35.45 Euro plus 13.5% and shipping costs but the price wouldn't include a re-program or parts... All the programs are put in pre-manufacture so if it needs anything like that doing it will involve a new part which is extra. But they are programs and can't alter themselves in any way, they either work or they don't.
If there is nothing obviously wrong with it then in my opinion there is no point getting a service, the components don't generally wear out, they just go. So they won't be able to guarantee that it won't go 10 minutes after you get it back. Title: Re: What do you think a service.......
