Title: advice please
Post by: dances with badgers on May 16, 2011, 09:32:35 AM
hello peeps .a while ago one of our members who shall remain nameless said he wanted to buy one of my rings so i agreed to sell it to him for 40 squid o.k .in the meantime my mrs sent him the ring and initialy we agreed to meet on one of our d.w. rallies so he could pay me but i could'nt make the rally.
o.k so then she told him to pop it in the post and the mrs has been messaging him on here to see whats happening.the upshot is that we still have not had the cash and now he is sending us abusive messages.
surely he would have sent the cash with registered post ?
he says he's sent it so why cant he track it ?
theres no need for name calling and threats,he obviously has not seen the mrs lol
im not out to rip anyone off and never have ,maybe thats where i've been going wrong.
  any advice peeps cheers :o

Hi Mike

Open forum probably isn't the best place to sort out an argument over money.

Personally I'd never send cash in the post and if I did it'd be by recorded delivery. This is why
cheques are so valuable but the banks seem to want to phase them out.

Ask for his phone number and talk to him about it. Emails, texts and electronic messages are often mis read as they lack tone.

As Bob said - never ever send cash in the mail. Theres no need to now with on-line banking, paypal etc.

Good luck
Neil

i know neil i dont see what the problem is the mrs has her own website so she deals with all the sales .so she is used to awkward customers and stuff .last time we had a problem like this it was from a russian woman who wanted her £1.50 back for a dress that was too small  :o. like i told the guy if my mrs had not wanted to put it through her accounts he could have had the bloody ring.
