hi peter found this one also, its lead about 20mm in dia  plain on the reverse, any ideas please thanks  mickycoin ;D ;D

looks like a portculos so could have some sort of royal connection???

Edward Fletchers Leaden Tokens and Tallies shows a similar reverse to a token on page 44 and gives it a Tudor date. Hope this is a start for you Mick.

Nice find. 16th to 17th century I believe. Here are a couple with portcullis designs but with a design on the reverse also:

hi peter thanks for the id, it looks very similarto the ones suggested by you, so i think thats close enought, very happy with the date of it also, thanks again mickycoin ;D ;D
