Title: CHEF HEADPHONES
Post by: waltonbasinman on September 28, 2010, 09:14:35 AM
Well folks what can I say. I had my Hunter phones for three and a half years and were starting to show signs of wear and tear so I needed a new pair. A while back I had been given a pair of Koss UR30 phones used but come recommended with minelab detectors. These kept slipping off my head so decided to try some Chef Phones after hearing good things about them and knowing Geoff and his immense knowledge of the hobby I picked his latest CP3 phones. Well Sunday at Cardiff I was welcomed to a new world. What a great set of phones. I probably dug the most signals ever as tiny targets were crystal clear signals and I loved the way if you were left or right of a target it corresponded in the left or right part of your phones and when the target was centre the tone went higher and into stereo. Brilliant, OK I dug up lots of lead and tiny pieces of aluminium but I feel so much more confident after just one trip that if the goodies are there I will find them. I managed to pick a tiny pistol shot lead ball between two pieces of Iron with a crystal clear signal. Every signal was dug centre of the hole. Thankyou Chef I recommend them to you all. Don,t think twice get a pair.

Got to agree with you Paul - the best phones I have ever used.

In the past I have had Predators, Koss U30's and Big Blue's - knocks them all for six

Cheers
Neil

And so says me. I bought some a couple of weeks ago and couldn't believe I'd been using such rubbish headphones till then. It was a real education. Especially when I plugged then in properly 2 or 3 days after I'd had them. Good job I dont have a bad heart  :o
My garden already looked like the moon but I still managed another 3 coins.
Great Phones, highly recommend.

Val

Thanks one and all, they were designed for you to use and enjoy and hopefully they can only get better. And now I've run out of cheques. So Phil, do you take American Express? ;)

Hi Trojan.  Try detectingsomerset@live.co.uk   or just send Chef(Geoff) a message through the site.
Can highly recommend the ones I got - CP2.  Great phones, great price. Best check with Geoff about compatibility with your detector.

Val

yes these really do look like great head phones , im going to buy a set of cp2 and cp3 i think , at the moment i use these creative headphones http://uk.store.creative.com/products/product.aspx?catid=437&pid=16975 (http://uk.store.creative.com/products/product.aspx?catid=437&pid=16975)  but they really are for in door use on my pc, but my sound signals are so much better its unreal, but as i said they are indoor pc head phones, so when it starts to rain or drizzle i have to take them off. so yer ill be buying a couple of these chef sets for me and my 2 sons
