Title: North Wales Newbie Post by: howy on November 22, 2009, 09:00:39 PM Hi Everyone,
I am a newbie and my first detector (Minelab Sovereign GT) should arrive in a couple of days, cant wait to get my mits on it. I am looking at starting on Talacre beach to learn the ropes, then maybe around Angelsey. Also got some permission from a friend who owns a farm right by me near Trelogan to mooch about in his fields. I will probably be bombarding the site with questions soon. ??? ??? Regards Howy Title: Re: North Wales Newbie Post by: 150aceboy on November 22, 2009, 09:02:45 PM Welcome to DW.com Howy mate, great bunch on here mate, have fun

Title: Re: North Wales Newbie Post by: handyman [Alan} on November 22, 2009, 09:11:29 PM don't forget to download the beach permit from the coastal agency website [there's a link on this site somewhere] - you do need one
also make sure u use a GPS and record a 10fig grid reference for any find thats over 300 yrs old. record the find with your local finds liaison officer. cheers and welcome to the hobby. Title: Re: North Wales Newbie Post by: Roman (Ray) on November 22, 2009, 09:37:08 PM HI HOWLY.
