found this little gem today its 2cms diam
i know its a james is it a penny or half groat?

That's a beauty Steve , really hitting those James's at the moment, !/2 groat  there is a thistle mintmark will leave the date to Peter I will get it wrong  ;D

Its got the Roman Numeral II behind his heas thats tuppence (2 pence)    so Its a half groat  ;)

James 1st half groat (second bust ) looks like spink 2649,very nice Steve.

I agree, although are you sure it's 2cm? Should be 16-17mm.
