Title: 2 out of 2 Ain't bad Post by: Dryland on March 08, 2016, 09:19:38 PM I went out today for a couple of hours, [ only the second time this year ] I found a nice little pocket drop of 3 little silvers and a few coppers, then out popped a trade weight, but the piece de resistance was an 18ct knot ring 4.6 g. I suppose the strangest thing that I found was a penny with a 1/2d red stamp stuck to the back of it. How the stamp survived in the ground this long is a mystery

Whenever I change machines, I tend to go through a phase of digging more signals, as I'm not sure what they will be - I sometimes wonder if it is that more than anything else that improves finds rate - certainly when I use something like a Golden Mask, which is either dig or not dig, I'll dig a lot more of everything (trash included). I'm trying to be good and dig anything that might not possibly be iron on my Etrac at the moment - and it is having an effect - although I'm yet to find anything decent with it, just more stuff! |
