Title: Mary (1553/4) Post by: b.buoy on February 15, 2016, 09:13:51 PM Found this a couple of weeks ago. Bent and brittle as anything. Bits falling off.
Jason, fair dos, said its a "Mary" and as it was a mess anyway, I decided to try and anneal and straighten it by following the recent article. (http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m66/billybuoy/e4c3a079-bf2c-4471-9778-4c61bb45db9b.jpg) (http://s101.photobucket.com/user/billybuoy/media/e4c3a079-bf2c-4471-9778-4c61bb45db9b.jpg.html) This is the result. A nice coin. Size of a groat, but is it a groat, half groat or penny? can Doc help with mint etc. Please all feel free (http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m66/billybuoy/img022%20Correction.jpg) (http://s101.photobucket.com/user/billybuoy/media/img022%20Correction.jpg.html) (http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m66/billybuoy/img023%20Correction.jpg) (http://s101.photobucket.com/user/billybuoy/media/img023%20Correction.jpg.html) Title: Re: Mary (1553/4) Post by: Dryland on February 15, 2016, 09:18:20 PM "Bent and brittle and bits falling off " for a moment I thought you were describing me with my bad back ;D ;D well found by the way and a cracking job straightening.
