Title: finds from today 1/1/14 Post by: sharkey on January 01, 2014, 03:56:30 PM not much of a hangover today so decided on a few hours swinging on the stubble field, new land so had a spring in my step :D weather dreadful but decent mix of coins came up.
1961 QE2 penny (only my 2nd one) 1758 isle of man half penny (first one) George V penny date crusted over William 3rd half penny date unreadable Victoria 1887 half penny and 2 unreadables hopefully more to come too. Welsh John yes that is always the way it seems, i got a good soaking but i do not mind it so much, its when temperatures are close to zero AND soaking which gets me.

I was out today too with Little Bro,off to a good start 2 nice buckles,2 coppers a musket ball and 2 big buttons until 09.30 and then it rained for 3hrs. the ploughed became unworkable...off for an early bath. shame,
