Title: A first today Post by: Dungbeetle on December 25, 2013, 03:28:18 PM Whilst you were preparing sprouts, parsnips etc, I had a few hours detecting not much to show for it but a couple of buttons and bits of lead. I decided to head home and the last hole yielded a Charles ii Irish copper halfpenny the date is a bit indistinct but still nice to find. I called in the pub on the way home and got permission on two fields a couple of minutes from home, so a good day ! By the way I'll give you Dungy when I see you Andy. Out tomorrow on pastures new. Enjoy yourselves people and see you in the new year.

I got a broken Roman brooch and quite a nice cartwheel penny.
