Hi found this the other day on a field near a hill fort not sure any ideas .

The two nobbles on the right are they pierced ? Could a pin go through them ?

No looks like the one end could have been looped and maybe a latched pin the other end

Is it flat, or does it have a 'hump' in the middle, like the shape of this one?:

I know its been a while but just heard from Peter the Flo and he told me this is an iron age brooch and aparantley pretty uniquie .He is getting a specialist to look at it and I will let you all know what he says when I find out more!!
