Found This Yesterday its very thin but strong, Any Ideas?

google "octagonal shop tokens" and look through the images to see if its there.

Nice find - I agree, looks like a 17th century halfpenny token, the octagonal shape being quite unusual. Can you make out any of the lettering?

Its always nice to find old tokens, they are worth a few £'s in good condition, and are very popular on Ebay.
I'm after a Bristol square farthing token myself, it was issued in Elizabeth 1st reign and is ment to be the earliest examples.

Ok I have cleaned it up as best i can, and as far as i can see there is a date lower middle 1569,  see what you think...

I think you will find its 1669 :)
