I think this may be my first silver coin found on the farm, I think it maybe a William IIII sixpence, can you confirm for me please? I Also found what I think is a brass key hook and a hat shaped thing that is very heavy and I think the metal is non frrous as there is no rust it is 50mm across. The top hat affair looks to be lead and more than likely is a trough plug of some sort. The hook has touches of "Art Deco" about it so I would say it dates to between the 1920's and 1950. Your oldest find is your 18th century shoe buckle. All in all a good days detecting on what looks to be a good varied field. Title: Re: My First Silver maybe? Just don't put it in the fire lol I have already removed the powder from the bullet as the bullet head was loose, I have found quite a few of those '303 bullets all in the same area of the field.
