Title: beach hoard

hi.....on the beach few days ago...found modern coin hoard......7 x 10p......3 x 2p.......2 x £1 coins......and light bulb end.....is this a record......found in same hole....no pottery so not that old.... ;D ;D ;D ::)

Sorry to dissapoint you toothy but no it's not a record.
Known to some already is last years find by one of our locals. He's been trolling the beaches round here for years and is nearly blind. His wife drops him off and picks him up most days (or did). He found a glory hole with 41 rings and some coins somewhere on Tenby beach.
Must admit I didn't believe it at first till one or two told me who it was and assured me it was correct.
I don't know if he's retired on the proceeds but I haven't seen him since. :o ;D ;D

Many years ago on Port Eynon beach in one small area of about 4 square metres found 130 pre decimal coins including  hammered Charles 1st shilling.

Just think is it possible you left 40 odd rings in the hole >:( and only took the coins out ??? Na I wouldn't have thought so.........possible thou sleep tight my long term friend ;) ;) ;) ;)
