If you think that's weird take a look a this site.  I found it while looking for info. on a gold chain I remember being found in coal in America some years ago. It is one of the items in the report and is reported as being 260 - 320 million years old.  Go figure.

wow val thats wierd,i remember watching a program called forbidden archeology i think that showed a human foot print that was found underneath a dinasaur one in mud

Some amazing stuff on that site Val. Have you heard of the Fortnean Times? I remember years ago something along similiar lines and there was an account of a hammer found in coal as well.

Yes I remember the Fortean Times and a series of programs along the same lines. Praps we should go mining instead of detecting  :o ;D
