Title: Newbie saying Hi Post by: grumpyjohn on July 16, 2012, 09:27:53 AM Hi all, new to this forum but not to detecting. I am an Englishman living in Scotland and a member of Detecting Scotland. Been detecting over 30 years on and off. Started in the 1970's with a Best Q-tone, went on to a Garrett GTX 500, then a Whites DFX and at present swinging a Whites V3i.

Welcome to an excellent Forum. There's something for everyone on here and lots of knowledgeable people to give advice etc. Can't recall that detector but my first was a C-scope Ib3oo. Presently using an Explorer XS with an XP Goldmaxx for backup. Cheers, Alan.
