Title: the Hallaton Hoard
Post by: handyman [Alan} on February 21, 2012, 09:05:07 PM
having some spare time today, i made my way over to market harborough to go view the hallaton hoard and the roman helmet.  It's well worth a visit and thoroughly recommended.

To see so many coins on display from the various celtic tribes, was awesome.

feel free to take a look round the website and if ever you are in the area, go check it out.

Very nice and as you say unusual in the amount of different currencies and is a good example of how trade was quite healthy even before the conquest. Mind you how that Dupondius of Trajan got in there is even more weird :-\
