Title: T2 guys, do you use all metal?
Post by: hedgehog on April 22, 2009, 12:22:35 PM
I have used it once , but haven't felt the need since because I spend so much time digging bits up without it.
The meter does tell you whether to dig or not but was wondering what your experiences were with it and whether you have some good advice to give on settings etc;

I don,nt own a  Tecknetics T2 myself but I ,ve used loads of different machines detecting in the all metal mode does,nt always give you the extra depth I,ve had countless signals in the past switched into all metal to pinpoint and found the signal found the signal to be a lot weaker unles your on a fairly Iron free site where you know there are some deep goodies waiting to be found I,d stick to the disc mode with the minimum setting for that site unless your planning starting a scrap metal dealership ;D ;D mole

Not t2 but Whites DFX , I always use mine in all metal, I get a different tone for iron on the all metal anyway so dont dig up iron.

Hi Mole

How do you rate the M6 ive been looking into getting one Ive had the Explorer 11 for a  while now and i dont use half the function its got because it doesnt suit my detecting style.
(i like to keep things simple ) which is the best DFX or the M6 ????
