Title: E-Trac on Beach
Post by: ysbytymike on November 16, 2011, 10:17:55 AM
Took my new machine down to Aberavon yesterday to try her out on the beach. Used the Minelabs pattern for beach
and it worked perfectly well with very little falsing or 'chirping'.

Although the day only produced lead and a few scraps of brass and copper, the machine was a pleasure to use and I'm sure if there had been
other metal there it would have found it.

I've enclosed a picture of most of the finds from yesterday. I have omitted a .303 bullet head and a junk jewelry bangle that I forgot to put out
with the other items. The large round item is a solid piece of lead that looks like a cannon ball cut in half and weighed in at over 7 pounds alone
'A fact I'm sure Mike the Fob will be rubbing his hands at'.

Mike

be warned mike ,once you get a gold ring you will have gold fever, everytime i meet people now the first thing i notice about them is the gold they are wearing lol.
watch my posts so that when the gold is turning up again you can meet me down there to compare notes/programs.
i used to use the andy sabisch beach program but now i open her right up and put up with a bit of falsing to get a bit more depth for heavier rings like wedding bands.when i used programs i was only getting lighter 9ct rings.sometimes the etrac will drive you mental then other times it will pay the bills lol,had mine a year now and just getting the hang of it.etracs love coins and at right conditions aberavon has all sorts from hammies to more modern.on a good day i can get 10 viccy silver ,georgian from there.
see you on the beach.mike :)

I put a few gold ring under my E Trac search head and a 22ct small ring did not even make a sound in the minelab beach setting so i had to tweak it up a bit , so run a test with a few gold and silver rings before you hit the beaches, topcat
