It's easy to tell it is Scottish as it has a hole in it.

A Scots person would have had it on a piece of string so it wasn't lost and could be pulled back
after spending!  ;D

thats a good one rob,cleaned the roman from yesterday as well still need more soaking put them on anyway.

Wow!!! now that looks like a nicccccccce site, not to sure on the coins other than no.1 which is Allectus, but a couple are definitely well into the 4th century and that pottery is a great condition, not abraded at all, that hasn't moved much since the day it was thrown away. And interestingly it could pre-date the coins by quite some years.

Don't hear much about them down here, I'll have to add it to my list  ;D ;D ;D

It's a beauty, also looks like it was nailed to something rather than simply pierced. Must've been a Scottish thing. Maybe one of our friends from over the wall can explain the significance  ???
