Title: Vicky's smalls
Post by: Tafflaff (Rob) on October 01, 2011, 12:21:09 PM
Well I never even knew that Vicky had fractional farthings to be honest. This was in my copper box, told chef and he seemed to know about them.... There again he did spend them no doubt   :P

Well is thats 1/2 a farthing it must have been worth 1/8 of a penny.

Money was tight in those days but bought more. ::)

You may joke about that Mike but I will admit when I was about 7 or so I had 6d per week pocket money. That was earned by doing the shopping.
That took me to Saturday Matinee with an iced bun and 2d change. And I wasn't a pick-pocket. I was Roy Rogers. :o ::)

Dead right Mike. My dream come true and he's a real Gent and a good friend. I did have to wait 40 odd years for him though. ::)

You lot know nothing about how hard life can be.

When I was a boy I used to go to bed half hour before I got up.  :'(

My family was so poor we had to wear short trousers and we couldn't afford long ones.  :o

I could have feasted on a quarter of a farthing.   :P

The I-pad generation just don't know the half  :(
