Post by: db4 on August 28, 2011, 04:19:46 PM
hi all out today with wayno met danceswith badgers (mike) and his cousin,
faymouse and jassy.
it started as usual bullets shrapnel and lead
then the sweet high pitch of silver
a silver buckle marked silver inside must be foreign
then next hole a st. Christopher stamped .925 must be foreign
wayno next with broken ring
George lll  or William lll farthing
and last but not least wayno's silver enameled ring stamped .925
not a bad day

Nice stuff, well done. Silver items weighing under 8gms don't have to be hallmarked so your finds aren't necessarily foreign.
