Post by: daz on August 08, 2011, 06:18:05 PM
i dug these out of my scrap box earlier, found them about a year ago in the vale of glamorgan area.at first i thought they were some sort of bracelets, but the one is hinged. you can clearely make out the name of
Henry Brodrich Esq on the one. i can just make out Esq on the other,im guessing it stands for esquire.the one has a hard rubber foam backing.any ideas? thanks...daz  :)

Interesting finds Daz - I may be wrong but could they be off saddles or luggage/boxes of some kind.

cheers

Daz I've found a few over the years and I'm pretty sure they are from horse harnesses, in fact it was only a few months ago that I returned one to what was in the 1900's a farm, now a private house. it had the farmers name and that of the farm. I know what you mean by the backing being hard rubber but I think it's leather.
