Found this little hammered today. Think its a half groat of Elizabeth 1st. Can anyone confirm please?

Looks Elizabethan, quite worn.

I expect Peter will know, when he has a look after finishing his pie.  ::)

Thanks to a prompt from Peter and Scotty from DS, confirmed as an Edward VI penny c1550. Well pleased. ;D

What size is it? The obverse is so worn, it could be a Lizzie penny also. All you can see of the reverse legend is 'CIVITAS', which is the same on Lizzie and Edward VI.

Hi Peter. Its 16mm. Thought at first it was a half groat but reverse legend doesn't tie in. Obverse lettering seems to be INE..PINA if that helps  ??? ???
