Post by: sellos on March 09, 2011, 10:08:50 PM went to my local beach today on the wirral,after about an hour got a signal of 12-10 on the etrac thought to myself probably a 5p,and to my amazement it was a 9k gold pendant dolphin that hit the scales at 12g,stayed for a couple of more hours with a big stupid grin on my face and got about 65p, i have just yesterday ordered a 15x12 sef coil off joan allen,wouldnt have bothered now my confidence is restored,sorry no pics dont have a digital camera at the moment,but will put one up when i get one,thanks for all the help.

Post by: dances with badgers on March 10, 2011, 11:33:21 AM 12g you jammie git lol,nice one fella its all about ground coverage, conditions and persistance.12gs is awsome for your first gold find problem is now you will want to spend all of your time at the beach and become obsesed like me :o lol if you get the 15 inch coil i would recomend getting a harness too, they are heavy .i am saving for an 18 inch coil .saw a guy get half a small roman coin at 0ver 14 inches with one.they do a larger one too :o
