Well found Al, makes getting up on a Sunday morning well worth it.  We are of the same mind as you that the 1st piccie could be part of a fibula maybe? your hammered seems to be an early one but someone will confirm all soon.  Went on the rally yesterday - no finds to shout about but they were popping up all round and were great to see, weather was glorious as well.
See you soon

Well found. The hammered is an Edward II penny, Canterbury mint, but the crown area is too worn for me to tell the class.

I don't think the fragment is part of a brooch, but I don't know what it is!
