Hi Peter

I am having a day of recording finds and was wondering if you could work your magic on these three. I have been lucky over the years finding short crosses, but find them incredibly difficult to ID correctly. Any ideas?

Cheers
Neil

Hi Neil, and a Happy New Year!

I enjoyed that little challenge  Smiley

First one is a voided long cross Henry III, Class 5a I believe, moneyer Nicole, Canterbury mint.

Second is Richard I, Class 4a, moneyer Stivene, London mint.

Third one a bit tougher, not helped by the partial double strike. It's definitely Henry III and Bury St Edmunds mint, and I think class 7b. The moneyer is unreadable in the image. Not 100% on this one.

Wonderful - thanks Peter - you never fail to amaze.

Likewise happy new year mate and may it be full of detecting finds for you.
