Hi there, Just got back from a new field with my first hammered of the year.
I think it's an Edward, and possibly a half groat, but I would like comfirmation
from greater minds than mine.  Wink Wink Wink

Many thanks,
Dave

Well done Dave and a great start to 2012. Well before those "greater minds" get on here I'll say it's Edward III pre-treaty halfgroat, 1351-61, London mint Wink

Hi Geoff (super mind me thinks), thanks for the ID. I really struggle with Edwards 1,2 & 3, they are all a bit to similar. Shame the coin is a bit nibbled, but for 600 years i guess i would be a little nibbled too.

Now I've got some thing worth adding to my finds list  Roll Eyes

Many thanks,
Dave
