i found this object yesterday. It's 30mm square with a Rampant Lion and what looks like a heraldic shield around its neck area. I am aware that Rampant Lions have a scottish connection and was wondering if the shield is also connected that way. Can you help ID this, or do you have any contacts who could take a look at this for me, and to add to the information gleaned so far? It's components are interesting as well. Crossed swords is military, Rampant, crowned lion is Royal and the thing around it's neck reminds me of the Christian symbol of the double cross. Smoo, you are the second person to suggest to me a possible link with Slovakia/Slovenia area. Hopefully the Doc will come up with some extra info. All ideas gratefully received.
