Good luck with your search Joel.
I just acquired this (hope the link works):
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230734663980?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230734663980?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649)

I have just sent the following to the seller:
"The detector arrived today.
I must say that the photographs didn't really do the state of the detector and bag justice.
I guessed that it was dirty in the pictures, fair enough, but a wipe over would have made it just that little bit more presentable.  But heyho on that.
The hip mount bag is a joke surely?  It is as good as useless; you've certainly had your moneys worth out of it, its seen far better days a long time ago.  I certainly wont be able to use it in fear it falls apart.  It's bin night tonight for collection tomorrow morning at 6am-it will be included, no fear of that.
I was horrified by the stained rag, or whatever it was you included as an attempt to protect the contents of the package.  I nearly threw up!
I wish you lived close so I could return it personally and shove it somewhere where it wouldn't see the light of day for a while!
Enjoy spending my £410, but come on lets be fair about this, if you were any sort of gentleman, you would refund me the price of a hip mount bag at the very least.

I just cannot think of anything appropriate to put in the feedback right now, but as I paid very promptly, I am sure your feedback for me, will be positive.
Rog"

So good luck Joel, hope you find a good one.

worth £250 for sure for a good one, bit heavy but thats minelabs for ya, went for a DFX after the Sov, another great bit of kit. Sov was really deep, looking for a buried pipe once, was amazed. Hope you get a goos one Joel. Battery packs were a bit odd as I remember, U could use drycells as well though. Hip mount bag a good idea.

looking at the pictures, no way has that machine only been used three times.
The control box is well scuffed by the look on it and all the seams are covered in sand.

Well it only takes a couple of seconds to get sand on it lol. Looking at it and I've owned a few, it's in good condition. They are brilliant machines for the beach especially with the 12x15 SEF.

Not convinced of that Joel.
Ask the guy for a copy of the bill of sale. That'll tell you how old it is at least.

LOL That won't be much of a help Mike as the XS-2a came out in 1998 and was superseded by the Elite in 2002 so we know how old it is.
