Due number plate recognition etc no more need to display tax disc, saves them being nicked off my motorbike anyway

still thinks it's a unfair tax, when i was doing over 30000 miles a year it was ok now only doing around 10% of that with 2  cars and 3 bikes in the house hold  it costs quite a bit as i can only ride or drive one at a time, it would be much fairer if there was a few pence extra tax put on fuel per litre, so that way the more you use the roads the more you pay.

Its an Outrage,
Those of you not riding on Cynon or Rhondda valley roads should be paying double. I drove down the Rhondda fach yesterday  and i havnt been the same since, Ive raced at Scrambles that had less jumps, and berms
where does our £200 plus go every year Huh?

there should be no tax disc and add something to fuel instead so those that use the roads pay for them

They said that when number late recognition came along it would get rid of those driving around with no insurance. When the car insurance went up they cited one of the reasons as being due to all those (mainly in 3 big cities) not paying insurance. This reason is still given despite number plate recognition. How long before they put car tax up for the same reason?

Death of the tax disc: learn new rules or face £1,000 fine

The traditional paper car tax disc will be replaced by an electronic system in October, and drivers are being urged to understand the rules
TelegraphBy Sophie Christie | Telegraph – 20 hours ago

elderly people who dont have a clue about net usage will get clobbered ,they assume everybody is net savvy

and what if you dont have a CC to do it over the net or on the phone?

tax discs will become collectors items no doubt

dodgy car dealers will feel it as they will have dozens or even 100s of cars to retax ,the sort of guys that trade in the street buying up old bangers and doing them up and dont pay any tax on their earnings
