Hi all, just thought you might be interested in a few air tests ive just done with the goldquest.ss v2.
First time ive looked at it in about 6 years!, took it out of its bag, shook all the sand off, managed to free the joints on the shaft where they had seized up with the salt (bugger) ,
    Chucked in

8 new durecells and fingers crossed!
set reject at 9 oclock , volume at 12 oclock, sat at 9 oclock and threshold about 11 oclock [just about trembling]  .
first across the std 11 inch coil was a 1933 sixpence, nice clear and stable 2 way at 11 inches, next was a high carat pendant , quite small , found on the beach at port grimard , s france, 15mm x 10 mm and less than 1 mm thick , coming in at 2.8 grams,
It was picking this up at 10 inches with a soft tone.
Would it pick these up any deeper in the wet sand?, i really dont know, but then again , if i can dig a 3 gram piece of gold at 10 inches , that will do for me![im a lazy bugger! lol]  cheers mike.

Well you can't complain with those depths Mike, you may get a slight increase in conduction in moist conditions but as you say a good result regardless Wink
