hello everyone i went beach detecting in pendine sands a few weeks ago and came across this octopus has anyone else seen them out of the water

Yes. I have also seen several different Jellyfish, Spider Crabs, Starfish, Sea Cucumbers, baby Seals and only a few days ago a dead Porpoise.

Only time I had a camera with me I clicked the attached Squid. Grin  (or is it a cuttlefish)
