                       Spent the morning detecting the sands at Talacre with Koala from "MDF" and got pretty well sandblasted. Dry enough but we had to lean into the wind to stay on our feet. The usual projectiles, copper shards, and scrap. I managed to capture 2 X 1/2 p decimal, 1 X 50p spendable, 1 X George V penny, and a nice white metal ring with a neat pattern on.

                        I was slowly making my way through the bullet beds and ignoring most of the signals when up popped a nice tone on the Safari to match an indication of 40. The nice shiny metal ring surprised me when I uncovered it at about 14". I initially assumed that it was silver but there are no hall marks on it; just the numbers 025, or 029!  Undecided

Having just had a closer look with a watch-glass I would say that it is 025. Possibly silver?
