Hi Jazzy,  will be difficult to get a machine good enough around that price but keep looking on Detecting wales , STAFFORDSHIRE METAL DETECTORS LIMITED, Detecknicks web site , preloved..A good start up detector is the garrett ace 250 ,but if you plan to using on the beach (wet sand) its not the right detector but in general dry sand or inland the Ace 250 is brilliant . Good luck.Nap

i second what napolean says about the garret ace,in the summer you will get loads of coins off dry sand on a busy day and maybe some gold rings but they are not very good on the wet sand.
they are good starter machines,if you shop around you will find other makes for cheaper ,keep looking, try gumtree, pre loved and local paper .
someone on here might be able to help u out .good bunch on here.
 good luck mike.

there you go,ideal starter and you could make that money back with 2 trips to barry island when the sun comes out,as you get more into it you can get better machines later ,
i started 2 years ago with a garret ace 250,i now have 3 machines.

I bought my boy a secondhand Garret Ace 100 (or 150) - for £65. Simple to use, finds stuff :)

Too be honest. Your probably better off saving that £75 and trying to add to it somehow and get a good secondhand
machine to start with, rather than compromising purely due to price.
JMO..
