Found today is there enough on the hammered too ID!! also is this another jetton I've had "it's way thinner than the last 1..

nice coins never found a jetton ( though found a few hammered ) or seen anyone else with one in n wales,  are they limited in location ? or widely found

Mad really because I found my first french jetton last Saturday and today found this if it is a jetton. Somerset area! !

Nuremberg jetton I can't make out the maker but 90% are Hans Krauwinckel from the 16th century, I'm surprised you haven't found one yet David as they are a pretty common find Wink

haa nice one geoff I fancied some scenery for a change! ! Last 2 outings had over 10 grots I'm sick off finding um now though. That jetton I emailed you I had last Saturday made my day as it was my first!!  had 4 grots today  pretty good detail I can see a shewolf on 1."Somerset and surrounding  is certainly the place for me this year  Wink

Ah that's where it gets tricky as a Krauwinckel has the name on the reverse (crowns and fleur de lis) whereas if it's by, for instance, Wolf Lauffer his name is on the orb and sceptre side though both jettons look the same Wink

The hammered has 'CIVITAS DUNOLMIE' on the reverse - pierced cross on the front as mm - they're usually Henry V/VI - but it's Durham mint Smiley

This anygood geoff!! I've been sweating for the last 10mins trying too get the right caption and sizing it  Grin
Also these romans are the better ones ttoday writing isn't good but busts are ok!!
