Thanks for that Ray, I'll hang on to see if we can get a concensus on its age , material is copper aint it?  Stone unknown.

No hallmarks I presume. What material is it made of ray? Hold the ring to the light and look at the stones - can you see any bubbles? Any chance of seeing how the stone is held by the ring at the back of it? all helps date it.
