the plastic arm cup has snapped on my minelab explorer, Where's the
cheapest place to get one? Is this a common fault with the minelab? if so
is it worth getting the stainless steel one from Crawfords at £40 or has
anybody had any experience with a limlock?

about 6 quid gets you a fibreglass kit for repairing cars and the repair is actually stronger than the original arm cup, thats how i fixed my etrac one.its the kit with the loose matting in it,you build it up in layers

a good old soldering iron will fix it if its the plastic arm cup Wink
i fixed the arm cup on my daughters ace250 the other day when she decided to stand on it and snap it in half lol.
hold it in place where its broken and plastic weld it back together using the soldering iron.
if possible do it outdoors though cos of the smell of burning plastic.

I know this is an old post but whatever I want I head to ebay  Grin I needed a solution to flooring. my wife and indoor wheelchair has a knack of ruining carpets

I have tried cheap and expensive carpet but they all get a patch where the wheel spins on its own axis and stretches and looks rubbish.... tried wood flooring and the problem was the tongue broke under the weight....

Occupational therapist said 18mm wooden flooring is what they use in care homes and they recommend, went to B&Q and their best fell short also it was £40+ per sq mtr.

Went on ebay 18mm solid Russian oak £28 per sq mtr done 3 rooms and it is brilliant! look up "the flooring factory" it is British stock and it has made my dining room acoustics like the Albert hall! I am trying to learn the electric violin  Grin

I have become a very canny buyer and my ebay feedback is 1259! for those who are ebayers I can let you have a method of winning more for less, if anyone wants to know pm me for FREE details

oh yeah armcups! they have them as well! lol
