After drawing blanks everywhere ive been,i thought id mess about in garden with md.......about 8 inches down found a cluster of 6 "roman" coins..all in a sorry state.....I felt elated..however after close examination I found they were all stamped with the word "replica"......i remember seeing these kind of coins on sale at caernarfon castle several years ago,so of course they are worthless money wise or historical wise.....seems par for the course for me.......however if anyone asks me i will say roman coins in a clear voice, then mumble the word replica so it cant be heard properly  Grin Methinks it will be the closest ill get to discovering anything pre-2010 ...sigh

Don't worry about that - you are finding things.

I've found about 30 coins in my garden now - the earliest being 1902, the latest I could spend Smiley

the only thing i found in my mams garden when starting out was a 50 cal mortar tailfin?
