the first two are early to mid 4th century .... i like the urbs roma reverse  [romulus and remus suckling the wolf]

the 3rd is late 3rd century ... so you have a period of usage covering around 100 years, from the coins you posted earlier and today.

well done indeed

Many thanks for the chronology Alan, apparently, some of my earliest coin find dates go back further than the known earliest dates ever recorded for WEST WALES...now that fact is fascinating on its own, dont you think ? ???

Wow , what a lovely selection of coins there. You've got the fields most of us dream and drool about. Nice finds again.

Lovely coins indeed. What amazes me is the condition, especially for west Wales. I think most of us in the area have found much younger coins in much worse condition.
Makes me wonder if it was sandy loam  ;D

If you find many more Chris you'll be in hoard territory.

It does prove that if we search hard enough and we're very lucky we can find a field like Celticspikey (Paul)  ;)

Well done Chris, fantastic stuff. I've go a few Silver Denarius and a brooch that date back to the 1st Century and I don't think we are a million miles apart location wise in West Wales. So yes food for thought Historically.

Cracking selection of Roman there Chris, you have clearly found a productive settlement/ occupation site, and what's more there far from grotty Roman, the soil conditions are very kind aswell to these bronzes, I'm really pleased for you and just goes to show bit of research, searching with may be a little bit of luck :-\ (although I don't believe in luck too much)  ;) ;) you can discover Roman ... :) ;)

Many thanks for your most welcome comments.
I've certainly been very, very fortunate, talk about famine and feast !!.. LOL!!
Unfortunately, that particular field is now at a stage of growth that restricts me from any detecting up to about mid July...ugh!!
so I will be traipsing over old well detected areas, but, well you never know !!
Well Paul, thanks once again,oh !! and getting back to "the" field, I am really convinced that there is significantly more goodies  to be found,i have recently noticed that there is what could have been a stone wall which is partially hidden  on the field boundary !!.could be significant......or  not....!!!just gotta wait and see..?
Good hunting .👍

I have a feeling that you, wittsy and myself could rattle the brains of a few academics with 1st century finds in West Pembrokeshire.
Keep up the good work Chris. I can't get on any interesting fields till the crops come off now and somehow the old fields don't appeal any more.

Very nice find indeed - they are all 4th century though:)

the two larger date to 315-325 (there abouts), the larger Urbs roma to 330 and I would say the smaller one probably a bit later probably the 340s. Looks like a good field you have there!
